The update also includes interactable apartment upgrades, along with improvements to camera controls and optimization. While flying, you can change it to a first-person mode, giving you 180° of camera movement to look at the buildings as they float past, as well as the busy streets below. The update adds the cockpit view, as well as a little more. If you haven’t experienced Cloudpunk yet, I can’t think of a better time. Watching the cockpit view trailer, however, convinces me that the wait will be well worth it. #Cloudpunk reset anderson androidYou get little tidbits of world-building, such as a flyer for an android dating service, but you’re confused if it’s for androids dating androids or humans who want to date androids it feels. I’ve actually held off on playing the game, despite my love of the genre. Cloudpunk’s biggest card to play is the use of androids as a stand-in for every marginalized group, and it is a shaky foundation to build on. This is, without question, the best way to experience Cloudpunk‘s beautiful dystopian world. In the latest update, Cloudpunk now has a first-person cockpit view. Well, it might have taken some time, but Ion Lands has made up for it. After all, the flying is the game’s most visually interesting feature. For a game about dreamily flying a taxi past neon-lit buildings, it seemed like a bit of a missed opportunity. However, it was only for when you decided to leave your futuristic delivery vehicle and hit the mean streets. They are obviously not new characters by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought they were each handled wonderfully and with great care (Barrett has some problematic moments, but I loved how they handled his character by the end of Part 1).Back in May, developer Ion Lands added a first-person mode to its cyberpunk indie game Cloudpunk. Shoutout to the entire FF7R squad as well. Another absolute banger from Shoji Meguro. It made me reflect on our own reality and he me questioning whether I would take deal. The world he creates may not be "real," but one could argue it really is "ideal." This really struck a chord with me, as 2020 has not been kind to me (or anyone else, let's be real). He seeks to end that, and technically, he accomplishes that objective if Joker agrees to go along with this (player decision). He didn't craft this world to cater to his needs, he instead was so exhausted and fed up with the trials and tribulations the students, those in his own life, those he hasn't even met, have to deal with. What I love so much about Maruki though is that he isn't a traditional Persona 5 villain. Flash-forward to the end of the OG game, and Maruki has essentially crafted the real world into an ideal "utopia" using the metaverse. Throughout the year, Maruki spends time with the students, and specifically Joker and his confidants, learning about their fears, desires, trauma, etc. #Cloudpunk reset anderson how toI knew he was going to play some type of major role in the story when looking up the requirements on how to get the best ending, but I didn't realize that was going to happen.įor those who clicked on this spoiler tag who may not have played the game or just don't care about the spoiler, Maruki is a councilor brought to the school Joker and a few of the other characters attend. Royal, and specifically, Maruki, finally redeemed the ending for me. Mixed or average reviews based on 20 Ratings. The way it handled the "fighting God" trope at the end made me roll my eyes, especially when compared with the other villains you fight throughout the game. But I thought the game kinda ended with a whimper. The wonderful confidants, the music, etc. So I loved the original Persona 5 title when it came out back in 2017. ![]()
